Welcome to the Tokatab Blog
We will share elements about piano news and the evolution of our product.

We are Florent, Balthazar, and Simon, and after 2 years of work, we’re lifting our heads from our piano and computer keyboards to present Tokatab to you!

Tokatab is an Online Piano Learning Service
All three of us passionate about music, we know that it’s possible to quickly have fun at the piano and experience beautiful musical emotions even as a beginner.
We want to allow you to discover or rediscover the piano, if you too are bursting with desire to put your hands on it as soon as you see this instrument!
Our product brings several innovations:
1- A real piano learning method that doesn’t require learning music theory while remaining very musical (no mechanical and note-by-note learning with us!).
2- A highly personalized experience thanks to a recommendation engine for pieces to play based on your musical tastes and skills.
Without Music Theory
We know that many of you want to play a few chords or pretty melodies on the piano but that learning music theory puts you off.
To provide you with a solution, we invented what we call piano tablatures!
Like guitar tablatures, Tokatab tablatures indicate which keys and which rhythms are used to play a piano piece. No need to know music theory to understand and learn the pieces. Around the pieces in our repertoire represented with Tokatab tablatures, we have developed a learning method that is an alternative to traditional learning. It will allow you to progressively build a real piano technique, healthy and sustainable.
A Personalized Experience
Thanks to our piece recommendation engine, you’ll have choices!
You can choose to have fun by learning in a few minutes easy pieces for you, which only contain techniques you already master (the first techniques are learned in a few minutes!)
Experience the pleasure of surprising your loved ones by sitting down at the piano. If you’re a beginner, we promise you’ll learn several (simple) pieces in the first week.
You can also choose to progress by moving towards more difficult pieces that will contain new techniques or techniques you still need to work on.
In any case, for each piece you choose to learn, a lesson adapted to your musical profile will allow you to work on it step by step.
We can’t wait to show you all this… If you’re interested, don’t hesitate to register and we’ll invite you to test the product!
